Well the new Canon 40D has arrived to replace my much loved and trusty 10D.
First impressions are that the auto focus is lightning quick, especially combined with L series glass (100-400).
The new 14 bit processor seems to improve tones.
The 10.2mp sensor produces decent file sizes, especially in RAW format, not forgetting it uses Canons new Digic 3 processor, which is lighning quick also.
One of the best benefits of the new camera has to be the 6.5 fps drive, handy when going for that elusive crossover shot.
Will post a further review after a little more time and experience with it.
Its staggering the amount of "quality" birds up at WLAC, there are more Tigermoths, Pitts Specials and Piper Cubs than you can shake a stick at.
Not to mention the Junmans, and the Spits, Hurricans that pop in.
How about a photo section, its a bit quiet on the airshow front at the moment, but lots of civil stuff happening, also some lowfly action happening too.
What do people think???
